Hi there. My name is Marcus and I am a user-experience designer in San Francisco, CA. I like to design systems that bring people together, make their lives a little easier by making tasks simpler and have a little fun when they interact with a website, web-application or mobile app. I’ve been doing things like this for a long time and I love what I do.
I also like to take photos, draw, paint and occasionally wax existential till the early morning hours with friends. I’m obsessed with gadgets, computers and music, and I like turning knobs and pressing buttons just to see what happens.

I’ve been in the design industry for 14 years and for the last 9 of them I have been focused on user experience design. That work often includes deliverables like user research, personas, user-stories, work flows, wireframes and usability testing. With the launch of Vista, Microsoft wanted a complete redesign of windowsmarketplace.com to make it a central hub for people to shop for computer hardware and software. Working with Modem Media, I helped to design many functions of this ecommerce website.

At Amdocs, we produced CRM software for telecommunications companies. For two release cycles, I helped develop the product functionality specifications, wrote use-cases, put those use-cases into relationship diagrams to categorize like functions then designed functional screens and developed task flows.
